DrunkenMonkey- 08-11-2006

The anonymity of the internet brings out the worst in people sometimes. Did you have a personal experience that you wanted share...?

MrE2Me2- 08-11-2006

Drunken Monkey, What did you expect? You wouldn’t cuss where there might be young kids would you? I thought Grasshopper’s post was clear and clever. More to the point, it was accurate And please don’t go on our account. Just don’t be crude, please. I also noticed that you still haven’t responded to any of my questions. Well, as I posted before. If you absolutely have to follow in Grand Master Simon’s footsteps, By, say, not answering questions. Then who am I to nay say you? Regards, MrE2Me2

Okay Mystery Amigo, I'll try. Why do I come here? Curiosity. I did spend around around 8 years learning from Leichman's and Simon's systems in total. Not that I have any intention of returning to that style of training, it will probably stick with me for the rest of my life! IT is also interesting to here the opinions of students, like yourself, who were studying with Simon in the 70's and 80's. Do I still train? Yes, about 1-2 hours a day, sometimes less, shift work is a real killer on your system/schedule. I always try to practise wuji/qi gong for 30-40 min, silk reeling exercises for 30-40 min and Feng's 24 form or the Lao Jia Yi Lu for 40 min ( a couple of reps). There is also a stick form, called the Long Pole. It measures about 3m and is made of Chinese wax-wood. When performed properly the stick shakes like mad at the tip. I cannot perform it properly...yet. When I can I'll post a vid clip, I'll call it "Cam shaking his Pole" I bet that would get lots of hits

grasshopper- 08-11-2006

"Did you have a personal experience that you wanted share...?" I have admitted before that YES, I made an ass of myself a few years ago on this same subject. I am willing to admit this and eat humble pie, are you? "I feel like I just got made fun of by the guys from the A/V department in highschool or something..." Did you have a personal experience that you wanted share...? But seriously, my one and only issue has been your exessive swearing. i think I made myself clear as to why this is inappropriate and why I cannot & will not tolerate it. To paraphrase: "You cannot swear on any MODERATED public forums out there. Most also require e-mail verification to authenticate user registration as well as a disclaimer that you must be over the age of 14 to view or post on those forums. This forum does not do either of those things but must still abide by the same rules of the internet... So PLEASE understand my position and stop complaining about not being able to SWEAR. Just be happy that there is somewhere you can openly complain about something that is important to you (which is why you DO keep coming back), and hope that people might take you seriously as this is a MODERATED FORUM!! " Now we can continue this taunting each other if you wish or we can put it to bed. Your choice.

MrE2Me2- 08-11-2006

Hello Cam, Thanks for your reply. About your response. L.O.L.! Better I shouldn’t say anything :-D I am really glad that you still train, I think that is cool. Regards, MrE2Me2

Current Student- 08-11-2006

I have my own opinions about swearing. I don't find the swearing offensive, I know some people use them to accentuate points that's fine by me. I also think some people try and use swearwords as punchlines. Swears by themselves are not punchlines I do not find them funny. I think it's unimaginative to use them as such. Swearing is a habit some people learn at a young age to impress the other kids on the school yard, which is probably the last time I may have thought swearing was funny. Most people outgrow it for the most part once they have their own kids, but some people never do. It doesn't bother me, but I do find that excesive swearing (like every second F'ing word) gets tiresome after a while.

I really don't believe Americans are Nazis I was trying to point out that sharing a few ideologies does not make a nazi. You have to admit however (and I know Canada is no better in this regard) during the birth of the nation all us white people sure behaved like Nazis. I know they (nazis) didn't exist yet but that doen't make the behaviour any less shameful or lessen the accountability. - Current Student Do you not know how to bring critical thinking into a debate?!?!?! You would be laughed out of a Gr. 11 debating class! Previous treatment of the Natives does not in any regard remotely link the U.S. or Canada to the Nazis. You just don't understand. TKF circular logic at it's best. Let me spell out for you why you are completely and utterly wrong: 1. Both Governments recognized what they did was wrong (well before Nazism), wrt Natives, and to this day are trying to make amends. I think that qualifies as taking accountability. The Nazis did not think that what they were doing was wrong and even justified it. They were not going to take responsibility for their aberrant behaviour until they were forcibly stopped. 2. All your examples were prior to the rise of Nazism. What you don't understand is that the mistakes were recognized and reparations made. The world was more enlightened and knew better by the time the rise of Nazism. Citing examples from the past, when the governments already took accountability for their actions, is ludicrous. 3. Your examples didn't reflect Nazi Ideologies. Next time you try and parallel today's Gov'ts with Nazism try and choose a Nazi Ideology that is specific only to Nazism. Just admit that you were standing on a very, very, very weak premise and move on. You cannot win this argument. No educated being on this planet would agree that the U.S. and Canada shared Nazi Ideologies. I could have sworn that this is one of the premises that the Western countries believed in when they went to war in WWII!!!!

Do you not know how to bring critical thinking into a debate?!?!?! You would be laughed out of a Gr. 11 debating class! Previous treatment of the Natives does not in any regard remotely link the U.S. or Canada to the Nazis. You just don't understand. TKF circular logic at it's best. Let me spell out for you why you are completely and utterly wrong: That's funny how you criticize my critical thinking and your the one who says someone is a nazi simply becasue they made racist comments 35 years ago. I put it to you that a strategy of simply being contrary is at a far lower grade level of arguing, I thing somewhere around kindergarden. 1. I agree but at the time they beleived what they were doing was right. And yes I think for the most part they have been accountable though some I'm sure would still argue. All thouse people are dead now I don't think they experinced much regret I think they died with the same belief that what they did was right. As a nation the US and Canada have made ammends just like Germany now has as a nation also. Still accountablity does not mean it did not happen and does nothing to change the facts. It's a black mark on our history that cannot be erased or denied. In the past so as to speak, just like comment made 35 years ago. I've heard GMS say he's regretted many things he's said and done in the past. 2. All your examples were prior to the rise of Nazism. What you don't understand is that the mistakes were recognized and reparations made. The world was more enlightened and knew better by the time the rise of Nazism. Citing examples from the past, when the governments already took accountability for their actions, is ludicrous. I understand completely. But somehow it's less ludicrous than saying all people who make racist comments are Nazis. Don't you agree? Once again I will state my point: These governments have these parallels and yet they are in no way concidered Nazis by reasonable people. A government with a few Nazi ideal past or present does not make it Nazi or National Socialist if you will. A person who made some racist comments 35 years ago does not make a Nazi. 3. Your examples didn't reflect Nazi Ideologies. Next time you try and parallel today's Gov'ts with Nazism try and choose a Nazi Ideology that is specific only to Nazism. And yet in your arguement you cite only one racism, which is hardly unque to Nazis. Which ideologies did I misquote? Well there is a problem with that line of reasoning. There aren't any ideologies that are unique to Nazis. Just like there aren't any ideologies that are unique to American Canadians Greeks Turks Jews and yes even French and any of the parties in any countries. It is the collection of ideologies good and bad that make up the Nazi platform. Just admit that you were standing on a very, very, very weak premise and move on. Bing bing bing ! THat was my entire point. I don't think Americans are Nazis you don't think Americans are Nazis and yet they have more in common with Nazi ideology than the "racist=nazi" connection you are trying to make. I think we may be nearing a break through. You cannot win this argument. No educated being on this planet would agree that the U.S. and Canada shared Nazi Ideologies. I could have sworn that this is one of the premises that the Western countries believed in when they went to war in WWII!!!! I'm hoping now you have a better understanding of what my agruement was. And yes WWII was partly launched on a difference of ideologies or at least the result of them. Remember the world tolerated them for a few years before it came to war, the Americans tolerated them a lot longer and only joined when they were attacked directly. Ideologies sustain wars but it usually takes something else to start it.

TKF_PHS- 08-14-2006

Current Student, Well, consensus (11 out of 12) amongst my post-grad dept is that no one believes that you have a degree, never mind with honors. Did you graduate from an accredited University? "That's funny how you criticize my critical thinking and your the one who says someone is a nazi simply becasue they made racist comments 35 years ago. I put it to you that a strategy of simply being contrary is at a far lower grade level of arguing, I thing somewhere around kindergarden. " - Current Student Considering that Olaf was highly influenced by the Nazi party during his formative years and also that he published his racist book 20 years after WWII and that during the course of the 80's and 90's he has been overheard to have said racist remarks I consider him a NAZI. It's not that Olaf said racist remarks 35 years ago it's that he has consistently said racist remarks over the course of 40 - 50 years. Given his lack of integrity I choose not to give him the benefit of the doubt and firmly believe that he is a NAZI. - Current Student Well let's go back to gr. 10 history. Canada and the U.S. made amends to the Natives on their own accord. The Nazi party clearly was not going to make amends and were forcibly stopped (i.e. WWII). Germany has taken accountability but it was after the Nazi party was ousted. The Nazis, in case you weren't awake in class, have not taken any accountability or responsibility for their actions. "Which ideologies did I misquote? Well there is a problem with that line of reasoning. There aren't any ideologies that are unique to Nazis. Just like there aren't any ideologies that are unique to American Canadians Greeks Turks Jews and yes even French and any of the parties in any countries. It is the collection of ideologies good and bad that make up the Nazi platform." - Current Student You did not misquote any ideologies but choose examples which weren't Nazi specific. Nationalism and a strong presence in sports would relate to 90% of the countries today. If you mentioned those two examples no one would say, "oh yeah, you are talking about the Nazi party." LOL!!! "There aren't any ideologies that are unique to Nazis." - Current Student You must have skipped your history class. Maybe you have had your head in the sand for the past decade. How is this for a Nazi specific Ideology: Anti-semetism to such an extreme degree that they tried to committ genocide by murdering 600 million Jews, thus being known as the Holocaust. Now if I said that everyone else would say, "oh yeah, the Nazi party", except for you. According to you, other countries have killed 600 million people based on their race. Now, before you go off citing examples of genocide, I am talking about antisemitism and the magnitude that it was carried out. This is an ideology associated to the Nazi party and only the Nazi party. " And yes WWII was partly launched on a difference of ideologies or at least the result of them. Remember the world tolerated them for a few years before it came to war, the Americans tolerated them a lot longer and only joined when they were attacked directly." - Current Student Bahahahaha....I'd say that it is a little more complicated than that. Please read a book on the subject that you debate if you want to provide a meaningful rebuttal. I won't even respond to your statement as you truly do not have an understanding of this subject, other than what you have received from watching Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan. "Don't you agree? Once again I will state my point: These governments have these parallels and yet they are in no way concidered Nazis by reasonable people. A government with a few Nazi ideal past or present does not make it Nazi or National Socialist if you will." - Current Student Well that quote is a far cry from this one: "Do you believe all germans are nazis? And lots of ideologies mirror nazi ideology a big one is the United States." - Current Student Also which of these two Nazi Ideologies does the U.S. parallel: 1. The Holocaust 2. Government sanctioned Eugenics program

Current Student- 08-14-2006

Well, consensus (11 out of 12) amongst my post-grad dept is that no one believes that you have a degree, never mind with honors. Did you graduate from an accredited University? I find it amusing that you get your post-grad class to help you write your e-mails. I have to admit I'm curious what they think of your rather (lets just say unusual) style of arguing. I hardly think personal insults, calling into question the intelligence or education of the other person are hallmarks of any institute...well maybe a Nazi one. :) I'm going to ignore all the comments that just serve to splinter the original argument and muddle the point. I wonder what your college mate think about your compelling arguments. So far your point is this, if a person is a racist he is a Nazi as long as that person does not predate the Nazi party. You say that Racist = Nazi. Has nothing to do with him being German because that would in itself be racist. OK lets say for arguments sake that you are correct that if a person is racist then that person is a Nazi as that is as you say the defining Nazi ideology. After all only Nazis are anti-semitic and apparently only Nazi ever believed in eugenics. But for our argument here you are saying racism (or racist comments) alone is enough to be labelled with a swastika. If you want to be specific to anti-semitic remarks OK but the quotes of GMS you posted were not anti-semitic so your unravelling your own point about him being a Nazi. So to simplify : racist comments = Nazi or if we indulge : Anti-semitic comments = Nazi OK.... That being the case here are some other noteworthy racist quotations. "I am going to be like a pit bull. That is the way I'm going to be against the Jews. I am going to bite the tail of the honkies." -- Khalid Abdul Muhammad, Nation Of Islam & New Black Panther Party, at Howard University, 1994 "Now that nation called Israel, never has had any peace in forty years and she will never have any peace because there can never be any peace structured on injustice, thievery, lying and deceit and using the name of God to shield your dirty religion under His holy and righteous name" -- Louis Farrakhan, 1984 I say to Jewish America: Get ready...knuckle up, put your boots on, because we're ready and the war is going down... The real deal is this: Black youth do not want a relationship with the Jewish community or the mainstream white community or the foot shuffling, head-bowing, knee bobbing black community... All you Jews can go straight to hell. -- Quannell X, National Youth minister for the Nation Of Islam, New York Daily News, October 17, 1995 'Hymies.' 'Hymietown.' -- Jesse Jackson's description of New York City while on the 1984 presidential campaign trail. White folks was in caves while we was building empires... We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it. -- Rev. Al Sharpton in a 1994 speech at Kean College, NJ, cited in "Democrats Do the Dumbest Things" "The same evil prominence was obtained by Jews in the brief period of terror during which Bela Kun ruled in Hungary. The same phenomenon has been presented in Germany (especially Bavaria), so far as this madness has been allowed to prey upon the temporary prostration of the German people." JOSEPH STALIN "This is the real enemy, the invader from the East, the Druze, the ruffian, the oriental parasite; in a word: the Jew." -- George Bernard Shaw "This craving for bouquets by Jews is a symptom of racial degeneration. The Jews are worse than my own people. Those Jews who still want to be the chosen race (chosen by the late Lord Balfour) can go to Palestine and stew in their own juice. The rest had better stop being Jews and start being human beings." -- George Bernard Shaw “Zionism is an expression of Jewish refusal to assimilate. If the Jews have suffered, it is because they have regarded themselves as a chosen people.” -- H.G. Wells “A careful study of anti-Semitic prejudice and accusations might be of great value to many Jews, who do not adequately realize the irritations they inflict.” -- H.G. Wells “We are disturbed about the effect of the Jewish influence in our press, radio and motion pictures. It may become very serious. Lewis told us of one instance where the Jewish advertising firms threatened to remove all their advertising from the Mutual system if a certain feature were permitted to go on the air. The threat was powerful enough to have the feature removed." -- Charles Lindbergh "Most of the Jewish interests in the country are behind war, and they control a huge part of our press and radio and most of our motion pictures. There are also the 'intellectuals' and the 'Anglophiles,' and the British agents who are allowed free rein, the international financial interests, and many others." -- Charles Lindbergh "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?" -- Mel Gibson 2006 These are all unquestionably racist anti-semitic remarks and I would never defend what they say. Now, following your argument, all of these guys are Nazis as well. Well, Mel Gibson did apologise later so he used to be a Nazi but is now reformed. None of these people predated Hitler's National Socialist German Workers Party and as you say anti-Semites are unique to the Nazis ideology. It's pretty easy to see I could have made this a much larger list but I think this will suffice. So we have the Black Panthers, Rev Jesse Jackson, George Bernard Shaw, H.G. Wells, Charles Lindbergh and we could add Archie Bunker and George Jefferson too. There are a lot of Nazis in your word.

That is a very scary post... Not in your opinion, just as a commentary on society in general

Current Student- 08-14-2006

That is a very scary post... Not in your opinion, just as a commentary on society in general I agree. I think we fool ourselves sometimes thinking that racism is a thing of the past. I think it was you that said it's not long ago that racism was accepted as the norm. I said before my parents, also in their youth during WWII but in an occupied country say some things that are by todays standards very racist. Nothing anti-semitic but racist none the less. I shake my head and try not to be embarrased when in public but I have accepted that they grew up in that era of acceptance. All that aside it really seems like the Jews are the most hated race of all.

TKF_PHS- 08-14-2006

"I find it amusing that you get your post-grad class to help you write your e-mails." - Current Student You sure have a funny way to twist things so that it fits quite nicely in your own little world. Do you also live in a padded room? Sorry but I do not need any help writing to debate with you. I think it's kind of unfair. It's like picking on the mentally handicapped. It's more like sport rather than an intellectual debate. You are truly a source of amusement amongst us. Your critical thinking skills are underdeveloped at best and you do not address any rebuttals directly. "So far your point is this, if a person is a racist he is a Nazi as long as that person does not predate the Nazi party. " - Current Student Ummm....what do you think? Very clever...did you figure that one out all by yourself? Hard to be a Nazi before the rise of Nazism. Alexander the Great committed a lot of atrocities too...no one would label him a Nazi....LOL! I think the academic world would agree that a person can be a Nazi during and after the rise of Nazism....pretty difficult to be one before. "None of these people predated Hitler's National Socialist German Workers Party and as you say anti-Semites are unique to the Nazis ideology." - Current Student Anti-semetism to such an extreme degree that they tried to committ genocide by murdering 600 million Jews, thus being known as the Holocaust. - TKF_PHS Nice try...I clearly explained the degree of anti-semetism that the Nazis displayed. I did not say one or two comments and a person is a Nazi. An anti-semetic comment hardly compares to the Holocaust now does it? If you look at my previous points I clearly labelled what made a Nazi. It wasn't the bits and pieces but you must look at the definition as a whole. This is one definition of Nazism that I had stated earlier: "Nazi Germany’s government led by Adolf Hitler promoted a nationalism that combined territorial expansion with claims of biological superiority - an “Aryan master race” - and virulent antisemitism. Driven by a racist ideology legitimized by German scientists." - TKF_PHS Your line of thinking that: So to simplify : racist comments = Nazi or if we indulge : Anti-semitic comments = Nazi - Current Student Every anti-semite comment = Nazi is absurd. Your line of reasoning is not very well thought out. Someone could be anti-semetic but not a Nazi. In Olaf's case he is a Nazi. He hates homosexuals, Natives, Jews, Blacks etc. He thinks he is a part of the Master race. He has displayed his Nazism over the past 50 years. My former instructor saw him Goose stepping in the "great white walls". Probably practicing for when he sees his Mentor, Hitler, in the after life. Well....let's follow your line of thinking: 1. Hitler's mentor is the devil himself 2. Olaf Simon's mentor is Hitler 3. Current Student's mentor is His Holiness, the Dalai Seng Shi, Silver Sash Holder, 23rd Successor of the Tookien Temple Olaf Simon. You can draw your own conclusion.

Current Student- 08-15-2006

So those guys are NOT Nazis for those anti-semitic (racist) quotes and GMS IS a Nazi for his racist comments. I'm just trying to figure out how your logic works.

TKF_PHS- 08-15-2006

Well I'm glad you finally admit that "Grand Master" Simon makes racists comments. I'm happy to see some progression in this conversation. To answer you last post please reread my previous post. I CLEARLY answer your question. I think with your "University degree" with "Honors" that you would be able to find my answer to your question. Just to simplify things for you...practically my whole previous post answered your question. If you can't formulate a response from my rebuttal then perhaps I should draw pictures or try and use bigger fonts and limit words to 2 syllables.
