The Wisdom of Shaolin
To All Serious Students of Shaolin Wisdom ~ Here's a list of web-links to the Teachings. Study hard but remember to keep it real, which is to to say, grounded in real practice! Study devoid of practice is merely a delusion! The "conceptual" study of the I Ching is to be discouraged, which is the study of it divorced, as I say, from arduous practice and application. It will always remain a mystery, locked within seven seals, for those who approach it in such an "intellectual" manner. The recommendations made below are made from the standpoint of the essential unity of the three ancient traditions of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Daoism. A second list of recommendations will follow later, which will include several selections of Chan Buddhist writings. future additions
Your post looked like a lot of effort went into it. Thanks, MrE2Me2. Only problem is that it's in the wrong category, as this area is supposed to be for items unrelated to the Martial Arts, and I would hardly say that the subject of my post qualifies as such. It really should be in the 'Suggest a Topic' area, but for the sake of those who may view the subject of my post as not really related, I have posted it in this area. Btw, I have found some better links since I posted the others, so will add them to the list later; and periodically update it when I feel I can improve upon it. Kind regards ~ Yen Hui
