I should clarify as I was originally mistaken. It was not suggested that Simon borrowed specifically from Zhong-Wen's history. It is rather an example of how easy it would be for Simon to find something like this, make a few changes, and then claim that history to be Fu Yen's.

Thanks Grasshopper, a very interesting read! It's a pity that the Chen and Yang styles ahve so much controversy, man you could fill libraries with all the differing accounts. All I know is that I will never have the skill of the late great Chen or Yang masters! Let alone the current crop of highly skilled masters!!
One question though, I thought that Shou-yu Liang taught baquazhang as well, I'm I wrong? If not do you think you will add that to your training one day? Inquiring minds and all!

I think he does. I am not learnig directly from Master Liang, but from a student of his who has trained under him for 8 years. My time per week is limited so I have committed to just the two styles (Xingyi and Yang Tai Chi), for now. He is also x-TKF and in turn I have showed him a few advanced things...
In time I hope to learn directly from Master Shouyou Liang, but for now his schedule does not work for me.
