Temple Kung Fu What do you think about these studios,
Sorry there are so many options, but I wanted to cover everything.
I think we will have to do another pole after this to try and narrow it down a bit.

There were some good people there - the firing of one of whom was my impetus to find out what was really going on. I enjoyed myself while I was there, but once I figured out what a rip it was, I had to move along.
Haven't trained since leaving there, still hoping to get back into it but honestly have a bit of the once-bitten-twice shy after the TKF experience.

That's too bad swivelhead. I'm sure you'll find something out there that works for you.
Thanks for joining the game...

I trained (and taught) in the time before and as the name was changed to TKF. I was really saddened to see TKF not change their business model much after I had left.
However, I really hope this new management is on the up and up.
I really like the system of Martial arts but the old business model has absolutely got to go.

Hi swivelhead, when Piercy left, well that was the last straw for me, finding the temple fraud forum was just the icing on the cake....and it sure left a bad taste in my mouth!
Too bad you haven't resumed training, you should take this time out to re-evaluate what exactly you are looking for and what is available in your area.
Xingyi, taiji, pak mei. traditional karate are some of the arts that x-members have begun studying, hell I wish I could learn all these styles but I only have one lifetime!!
Good Luck!

Can't believe this forum! I can't believe there is an entire forum on Temple Kung Fu. Are there THAT many disgruntled ex-students and teachers who have an axe to grind? I think every school has it's problems. Why this school? Why this forum?

good point?!

Hey gtberg,
I think your questions about this forum are pretty good ones.
We have all sweated, bled, paid and pushed ourselves to learn Moh.
Yet I'd rather be polite than vent and spew.
I have lurked at other Martial Arts forums and found them to be interesting.
But not as interesting as posting with people with whom I have something in common.
Good Luck in your Training!

What other school (certainly in Canada anyway) had so many locations and taught so many people over so many years? I'm not aware of any other if there is one. Simply from the sheer number of people who have passed through makes these types of forums possible.
