thanks to this forum i finally have peace with temple kung fu .when i quit working for tkf in 95' i felt lost, used , and betrayed. i had no one to train with and was uncertain what to train. for the next 10 years i dabbled in other arts but always missed tkf. i didn't miss garbage wages, cult like paranoia, or the pressure sale techniques that peircy and webber promoted. however when i stumbled across zen shack i saw a posting from the new or as i like to call it the true temple kung fu. the post stated that the new owners were open for dialouge, and so i took them up on it. after talking to mr. swanstrom he invited me to stop in when i was in edmonton so i did it was how i remebered tkf before all the crap. i was welcome to train whenever i could, i was given a 2hr private lesson, i was given as many books as my conscience would let me carry, all for free!!! mr. swanstrom listened to issues that i had with the previous owners and welcomed me back into the tkf family. this was even better than the tkf i remembered the only problem was they aren't in winnipeg any more. i still keep in touch with mr. swanstrom since there is no tkf in wpg i have started training under another master, yet i am still welcome to train at tkf whenever i am in edmonton, and if they do come to winnipeg i can trian with them again. plus i was told i would continue training where i left off, not like stokowski's offer for me to start all over, i guess he knows what that feels like now! anyways this forum can be a positive thing and i'm grateful for it. temple kung fu is diffrent, the owners are way diffrent, they in my mind are true men of honor who are righting alot of others wrongs i support them 100% and hope that other former instructors and students check out the new tkf.
