Hello Sifu Shawn. Yep! It definitely works all right! What he does is close enough to stick 1 that I recognize it as such. There are certain movements that are changed but it is the form. I read his profile and he apparently taught martial arts all over Canada. The job ended badly though (why does this not surprise me). Anyway, he is in B.C., on the island. Regards, MrE2Me2

This is our own forum member, "SwollenKnuckle". I "pm"ed him and he answered in the affirmative when I asked if this was him.

Thought I recognized him. Swollenknuck and I go way back... That is exactly how Stick I was taught at TKF since the early 90's at least

To all It is close to stick as I know it as well. Seems to have a few extra moves added to to it though. sifu shawn

To all, I have made a vid of stick 1, myself (inspired by Swollenknuckle’s efforts). Now it was made in the room I’m renovating. And it was taken after midnight so it is kinda dark. I originally learned Stick 1 in Edmonton in 1977. I have modified the form due to space restraints and injuries. None, the less, this is the basic form that I learned. The link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKaaAQRFj8Q Regards, MrE2Me2 p.s., There is no sound.

To all, I saw posting at another Kenpo forum a few years ago. One fellow I corresponded with said that there were three stick forms. Seeing as how I had learned only two, I asked about the discrepancy. He said that the first stick form is what I knew. Then he said the second stick form was the opposite of the first. The third stick form was the same as the second form I knew. Has anyone else had this “second and opposite” stick form training? Regards, MrE2Me2

Hey mystery(is it ok to refer to you by that) We were taught three stick forms as well, the first is as in my video and the second only the beginning is different, it is a short set of motions were you turn around and then you start with the six strikes from cat stance and then the third stick form is the one with the jumps. thanks swollenknuck

Hello SwollenKnuckle, Sure, after all, my nic means, “Mystery To Me Too” :-D Thanks for the update on the stick forms. Regards, MrE2Me2

Mr E2Me2,, swollen knuckle wrote the first is as in my video and the second only the beginning is different, it is a short set of motions were you turn around and then you start with the six strikes from cat stance and then the third stick form is the one with the jumps. Thats my understading as well. Exept I have never learned stick 3 from kempo. So I cant say anything about #3. sifu shawn
