To all,
I was watching the “History Channel” this morning.
There was a documentary on the 4th great empire of the ancient world.
The Hittites became so powerful that they became a superpower 3000 years ago.
They build a great city which was invulnerable to attack from foreigners.
Their concept of brotherhood allowed them to defeat all comers.
This included another superpower of the time, the ancient Egyptians.
The concept that all Hittites were brothers gave them enormous power.
Because they were brothers, they were to trust each other implicitly.
Yet they lasted as a superpower less then 3 generations.
When they disappeared from history no one knew why or what had destroyed them.
Eventually, it was unearthed that their very concept of brotherhood was betrayed.
The king turned upon his prince (and nephew).
Greed and jealousy tore apart what nothing else could.
They destroyed themselves essentially because of the actions of one man.
None could seem to rise above the petty squabbles that arose from his vindictiveness.
As a result, all was lost and remained unknown for 3000 years.
It has been inferred that “too much” time has been wasted and “too much” been said about our history.
But it is the work of guys like Grasshopper and other forum contributors which help clear the air.
Without these continued efforts, Moh might have gone the way of the ancient Hittites (in my opinion).

That's not what I meant at all.

Hello RD,
Whether you meant what I said or not, you are not the only one to whom I was referring.
This forum brings up uncomfortable activities from our past.
And there have been several individuals who disagree and object.
And there have also been those who think we don't go far enough.
It is my opinion that a reasoned, intelligent and bias free investigation is helpful.
I think we should approach this issue as mature confident adults.
Then it's more likely that growth will be successfully achieved.
In the past it has been all too easy to vent on one side or the other.
It served a purpose then but I believe we have moved beyond that stage now.
We are bringing out these things from our past.
And I think we should expose them to the harsh light of day.
The days of secrecy, paranoia and fear mongering for power and profit are gone.
And that is what I meant.
Clearly, if I were directing comments at you alone, there'd be no doubt.
I'd quote you and pick you apart.
Because I did not do that, you are not the sole target of my previous post.

To all,
I moved this post to this thread.
I should have posted it here to begin with.
Apologies to all for any confusion.
This post concerns relatively recent Moh history once again.
Nor do I expect to gather these answers from one source.
I’m talking about the last forty years of history here.
Any and all contributions would be appreciated.
I am not asking just to stir things up.
But this is likely to do just that.
I am asking because I want to know definitively…just what happened.
I want the impossible.
I want proof positive.
Although I’m unlikely to get it, I’m asking anyway.
Why did Olaf Simon part company with L. Bateson?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with T. Higgs?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with B. Leishman?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with S. MacLaren?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with L. W. Thomas?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with R. Terlecki?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with R. Shergold?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with D. Piercy?
Why did Olaf Simon part company with so many others?
Yet several would go on to become masters of martial arts.
