Larry Tatum and Kenpo 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpWhYHw4okA&NR=1
Notice the style of movement. Watch the form and see only his stepping pattern. Look familiar?
Watch again and see only his hand movements? Catch those same motions from Kempo 3 and 2? The rolling eye rake?
There are of course some other motions in the form but it is ultimately the same style of martial art as Moh.
they even use the KFC club bow in to begin the form.
When put beside something from Hung Gar, BSL, Wing Chun, White Eyebrow, or most of the other styles of Kung Fu it would be very evident that Moh and Kenpo are the same art.

Hi North,
"When put beside something from Hung Gar, BSL, Wing Chun, White Eyebrow, or most of the other styles of Kung Fu it would be very evident that Moh and Kenpo are the same art."
Can you clarify? It doesn't make much sense. Those styles of kung fu have next to nothing in common, nor does kenpo have anything in common with them either.

Exactly. Those styles are unique. You can tell by observing them that they are unique (Or at least different from one another.)
When you view Kenpo and Kempo the movements are not unique, they are the same. The attacks, the stepping patterns, the tempo and the overall "Style" is the same.
This Kenpo 4 form could be done right after the Moh style Kenpo 1-3 forms and it would fit right in. The movements would seem natural to a Kempo artist.

Thank-you for your uninformed opinion of a kata you now nothing about.
I know Tatum has seen awakening the dragon, what do you think his
opinion is?

Hello TKFBS,
Larry Tatum works his art and we (the students if Moh) work ours.
We respect them but we are busy (and so are they).
Every single American Kenpo forum I have ever been to is strictly moderated.
Courtesy and civility are the order of the day.
Oddly enough, Gichin Funakoshi’s first rule of Martial Arts was “Courtesy First”.
Maybe you could learn something from this (or not).

Hello North,

I would concur with your analysis.
