James Mitose There seems to be some controversy surrounding him.

Hello 47MartialMan,
I read somewhere that James Mitose's uncle and his instructor were the same man; the legendary Choki Motobu.
I also read that William Chow worked for him at one point, that their views on martial arts differed considerably yet Mitose is still considered to be a pivotal figure in the Kempo/Kenpo world.
Mitose's criminal conviction has also been held up to question. There are some who say he took responsibility for his students actions when he really wasn't legally culpable.
What I would like to read is from someone who has info about him and his system that is more than just here say.

Thats it, you may not find too much iinfo, people who have any direct lineage with him, distant themselves, to some at the point of creating negativity. they dont want to be associtated with a convict.
