Hey DrunkenMonkey I used to be vulgar and profane a few years ago. As a result, polite people generally quit talking to me. So I'm not holier than thou. None the less, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't be so vulgar or profane online, please. The Man-Once-Known-As "Bitter Bob"

Lighten up - I was just using a good "Deadwood" quote for my sig and was surprized to find it filtered... I was not using profanity or vulgarity in my responses, although I will if I see fit. Save your sermonizing for your students.

Hey DrunkenMonkey, Wuups! My bad! :oops: Just so you know, I wasn't sermonizing. I was merely stating my opinion here. I have never seen "Deadwood" and I don't happen to like harsh language. None the less, I will consider myself, "lightened up".

What is this flamer? How do I get rid of it?

DrunkenMonkey, Edited was not the correct word, I just added a few of the words you suggested to the language filter. I see you removed your present signature, thank you. I am not a control freak. It clearly states in the rules that there will be no swearing on this forum. I am not about to enforce this for every minor infraction, but it is there to keep the real potty mouths from taking over. In case anyone missed them, I will repeat the rules: "RULES OF PLAY: 1. No foul language, freedom of speach is paramount to this forum - but be civil 2. No racial, religious or political slander 3. No pornography 4. No spamming: ie. Continuous cut & paste of the same/ similiar comments 5. Do not use multiple accounts/ nicknames, this would be considered spamming, not to mention multiple personality disorder." I am all about freedom of speach, especially here. There are a lot of things already said on this forum that I don't agree with and I'm sure there will be a lot more. That's what I want. Let's hear it from both sides, I'm way to easy going about the whole thing, but if someone wants to use that sort of language all the time, go back to the other crappy forum. Keep up the fun

Listen, grandma - I used a tongue-in-cheek sig - a line from a soliloquy that was written by a Yale English prof for a show that's won 13 awards (incl 2 Emmys) and been nominated for 13 more... I'm sorry if your delicate sensibilities were offended -- the fact that you prefer words like 'skin flute', 'fudgeroo' and 'poo' says more about you than it does about me though, pal. :roll: :roll: :roll:

I knew this sort of mud slinging was going to come my way because of this forum, I just didn't think it would happen this soon. DrunkenMonkey, I don't know you, but obviously you have some anymosity towards me. If you would like to share it publicly that is up to you. Your reason for posting what you did is irrelevent. Rules are rules, they were created so as to elevate this forum from the other ones. You broke them, so don't think I am targetting you or you are offending my sensabilities. If you don't like it go away. If you can handle it then great, the more the merrier. Where is your sense of humor? "Fudgeroo", "Poo" & "Playing the Skin Flute" draw a smile to most people, while your choice of words generally do not, lord knows these forums need a little levity once in a while...

Not only was it not an insult or put-down aimed at anyone, but I took down the sig after ONE person complained! Now I'm mudslinging and I have some sort of personal vendetta against you?!?
