Yen Hui- 10-05-2006

(But he has much deeper stances as well as more intent.) Great intent, for sure! Check out this next clip of "Kempo Master". Talk about having a flashback! Seeing this dude move was kind'a like seeing Mr. Leishman in action again! Their personal flair or styles have much in common, from what I can remember! They must have the same guru! 'kempo master'!! @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW8DRg-WuiU

Hello Yen Hui, I’ve seen this guy before and I don’t believe that title is accurate. I think he is British and he is a practitioner of Jeet Kune Do. He is very fast, though. Regards, MrE2Me2

To all, This guy is very interesting to watch. Can anyone tell me more about him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOCh18BGXw8 Regards, MrE2Me2

Here are 2 rare fights of Chuck Liddell http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxQ3zxvpJAU The Official Chuck Liddell Highlight vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yO_Vv9Ff3lI&mode=related&search= Hi there MrE2Me2 ~ Thanks for the interesting clips! To be honest, though, I never heard of Liddell before. He's a tough nut, to be sure, but somehow I find it very hard to appreciate his martial style. I liked the Tai Chi Sword Master much better, as he reflects a much better appreciation and understanding of the Principle of Good Form! Many kind regards ~ Yen Hui

Hello Yen Hui, I like both the Tai Chi master and watching Chuck Liddell. Here is a blurb on him from my thread “The Fist Lawyers”. “The Fist Lawyers 3 Another Kajukenbo stylist would be this man. The current title holder for the Light Heavy Weight Division in the U.F.C., Chuck Liddell. He is a man of many talents. And as I posted on this forum previously: A university graduate with degrees in Accounting and Business. A Black Belt in Kajukenbo A wrestler at the collegiate level And many others. Here are several links. A quick link to his kempo history. http://www.kajukenbocafe.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=1embhu0ugs3qeknlrqthn1fph4&topic=955.msg8415 His official site (note the Kempo tattoo on his left shoulder). http://www.icemanmma.com/ His academy http://www.slokickboxing.com/” Incidentally, Kajukenbo was started by “The Infamous Black Belt Society” in Hawaii, circa 1947. Among the 5 original founders was Adriano Emperado.. Adriano Emperado was taught by William Chow (seen here). http://www.kajukenboinfo.com/professor_chow.aspx Ed Parker was also taught by William Chow. And there is some history between Ed Parker and Olaf Simon. Chuck Liddell was on the U.F.C. series last week. He was demonstrating something he called “the whip”. It looked an awful lot like the last half of “The Helmet Crusher”. I guess ya can’t keep a good technique down! Regards, MrE2Me2

To those who practice the internal arts, What do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwJxlWnb4H8 Regards, MrE2Me2

cam- 10-24-2006

Well it's not what I practise!! The big guy in the red shirt is stepping with the balls of his feet. The guy in the grey shirt at the end of the clip, he is leaning back, his arms are opened up far too straight and his shoulders are probably stiffer then mine!

Hello Cam, I thought they looked odd, compared to what I have seen elsewhere. But it is nice to get an informed opinion. Regards, MrE2Me2

My kind of karate :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKUaWz9IjBg I never get tired of watching this! That one is great, good call. I know it's a different system but can see a lot of Moh Pai in there.

Unfortunately I don't know his name, though I know he is an 8th dan in Okinawan Goju. There was a short clip of him on some MA documentary. Hopefully I can find the clip of him working out. In the doc. he was practising elbow and shoulder strikes against a palm tree. He had the whole tree swaying when he made contact, very impressive!!
