Enough is Enough! Enough is Enough!
*Please be advised that this post has been updated.
(The message is still the same but the example has been changed.)
I am posting this here because more of you will read it here (than elsewhere).
It has come to my attention that there are certain members of this forum who act as trolls.
According to Wiki,
” In Internet terminology, a troll is often someone who comes into an
established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts
inflammatory, rude, repetitive or offensive messages designed
intentionally to annoy or antagonize the existing members or disrupt the
flow of discussion…”
Wiki’s definition of a troll is here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
A healthy discussion and even a reasoned debate are one thing.
But being mean spirited and generally negative advances no ones cause.
So if you have a specific comment or complaint, then post it, specifically.
For example:
Current Student posted, “It completely escapes me how someone could say that being
attacked by multiple attackers is unrealistic, impossible or could not happen.”
In that same post he also said,” If you guys that claim to be training self-defence have not
learned these very basic principles then I suggest you rethink what your training is
accomplishing. For you guys that don't train self-defence well this argument isn't really
even about you.”
I responded by asking, “Why don’t you post some of these principles here?”
And he responded with no less than 12 excellent tips and 1 exercise.

It is proving to be an interesting and fruitful discussion.
The rule was posted by Grasshopper here,

“Play fair and have fun.”
What say we adhere to it?

To all,
There are now 51 registered users on this forum.
Yet there are less than 7 who post regularly.
Come on Guys!
It doesn’t have to be much.
A line or two on what you like about Moh.
Or a line or two about what you don’t like about it.
Tell me your favorite training tip or drill.
Send us a funny story or a tragic one.
Ask a question about that annoying thing you never got an answer to.
Like the time I asked about how to deal with my “cousin’s” tender shins
It doesn’t take much, merely the willingness to type and send.
Hey, if we wanted Hemmingway, we wouldn’t be reading about Moh Kempo, would we?
This isn’t about being a poet or a chronicler.
It isn’t about typing the “perfect post”
It is about sending in something!
It is about standing up and saying, “I can and I will!”
(Do what I do and type after training, ‘cause it ramps me up.)
This forum has grown and overcome obstacle over annoyance.
We have defeated hatred and fear and bitterness on these pages.
If you aren’t sure where to post, then post anywhere.
If we want it moved; the administrator or a moderator can move it.
But posting is rather like training.
It’s something that gets better when you do it regularly.
Take me, for instance.
If someone had told me I’d be doing this 5 years ago, I’d have thought them mad.
Yet here I am.
And here is the funny part.
Originally I posted three times a day.
But I have gotten a bit busy in this New Year, so...
I usually start off by intending to post once a day for no more than a couple of lines.
Regards, MrE2Me2 (as in “It’s a Mystery To Me Too”).
By the way, what does your nic mean?

By the way, I have unlocked this thread...

What were some of the personal benifits that you, have noticed through your training?
This is too all!!
MrE2Me2- 02-04-2007
Hello Rasta,
The training improved my physical condition.
It made me more flexible, stronger, improved my endurance and toughened me up.
It improved my confidence and greatly improved my fighting ability.
I wasn’t the greatest fighter (before I trained or later).
But my skill did improve immensely.
I found a never ending journey in training Moh Kempo.
It fascinated me when I first saw it and it fascinates me today.

p.s, How about you?
rasta- 02-04-2007
Well it has done really much of what you have said, but i was the fighter, moh gave a new look on life and a way of life mentallly and spiritually. The way i felt coming out of a class was awesome.I look at kempo as a game of chess. Counter after counter.Set him up for his next move, lots of fun!
P.s i havent been in a contfrontation in 12 years
MrE2Me2- 02-05-2007
Hello Rasta,
That is a good thing (12 years can be a long time).
I like your analogy and have used it myself (it’s a natural for any thinking fighter).
Although you might modify it and say that it’s a game of chess on fast forward.

To all,
I was surfing tonight and I came across this great post at another Kenpo Forum.
The poster is one “Bob Hubbard” of “Kenpo Talk”, here;
http://www.kenpotalk.com/forum//showthread.php?threadid=4198
In this post he talks about what he wants the future of his forum to hold.
Now this forum has been going for a while and it is quite large and established.
None the less, he seems far from satisfied with the accomplishments of his forum.
He wants to grow past his just under 800 members and over 46,000 posts.
(Now that is posts, not just views.)
More importantly, he talks about wanting his forum to be the best place to discuss Kenpo.
We can use this as an inspiration here!
We can continue to grow and expand.
We can establish ourselves as the definitive forum about Moh Kempo.
We have already inspired a bunch of new members to join.
I believe the next step is to post more.
It doesn’t have to be much, just a line or two.
Post a line and tell me what you like about Moh!

To all,
http://templekungforum.14.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=158
On this one thread alone, there have been 54 views in the last day (well, 28 hours and some minutes).
For one day, that is a lot of views!
As I posted previously, if all of us posted “one post a week”, that would help out a lot.
There seems to be a large number of you who want to read about out past.
Tell us…post a testimonial about your experiences.
If you are worried that your response will be misinterpreted as venting or emotional, then do what I do.
Start you post “With Respect:”
And end it with:
“Without prejudice”
“E&OE” (errors and omissions excluded)
I believe we have gotten rid of those who spew malice and hatred.
Personally, would like to read what the rest of you have to say.
If you won’t talk about the art of Moh, then talk about your experiences with it.
